A piece of raw jade on stone, in sunlight.

It pulls heat.

Hyper-Cool Jade®. Real jade stone, milled to a powder finer than flour and spun into the fiber. Cold to the touch, and it stays that way.

The idea

Stone has always been the cool thing in the room.

Jade has been pressed to the skin for a thousand years because it feels cold. The reason is physics, not folklore: jade conducts heat better than almost any fabric fiber, so it pulls warmth out of whatever it touches. We put that property in the yarn.

How it works

Mill. Spin. Conduct.

01

Mill

Nephrite jade is ground to a micron-scale powder — small enough to sit inside a single fiber without changing how the fabric feels.

02

Spin

The powder goes in at the raw-fiber stage, before the yarn is spun. Not a coating. Not a finish. It is part of the thread.

03

Conduct

Heat moves from warm to cool. Jade's conductivity gives it a fast route off your skin, through the fiber and into the air.

The field

Watch the heat leave.

Skin on the left, air on the right, the fiber in between. Polyester traps heat against the body. Scroll, and the jade turns on.

Measured

Up to five degrees cooler, with nothing sprayed on.

The fabric runs cooler than the skin under it, because the stone inside is moving heat away. The number is not the point. The point is that it still works after the hundredth wash, because there is nothing to wash out.

The brief for the jade fiber was written on a golf course: a shirt that looks like a shirt and behaves like shade. No vented panels, no mesh, no tech-fabric sheen.

Questions

Fair ones.

Does the cooling wash out?
No. The jade is milled into the fiber itself before the yarn is spun, so there is nothing on the surface to wear away. Wash it like any cotton shirt.
Is it a coating?
It is not. Most “cooling” fabrics are polyester with a topical finish. Hyper-Cool Jade® is a material property of the yarn, which is why it lasts the life of the garment.
Will it feel cold in winter?
It feels cool to the touch, the way stone does, then settles to skin temperature. It does not refrigerate you; it stops heat building up between you and the fabric.
Is jade safe against skin?
Yes. Nephrite jade is an inert mineral. Every HyperNatural fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and Bluesign® approved, which tests every component for harmful substances.
How is it 20× more breathable?
Measured as air permeability on finished fabric against a standard performance polyester. Cotton fibers are naturally more open than extruded plastic, and the Micro-Piqué knit is built for airflow.
